I love the new gym. I like that there are 4 rooms we can have gym in, including the Letterman Room, the small gym and the big gym. Now class is better because we can go in the gym and it is bigger. I’m glad the gym was fixed up and got new things. I’m glad that we don’t have to stay outside. |

This year when I walked into the new gym I thought to myself, “WOW! I never saw anything like this!” It was just so exciting. It was interesting to see the different rooms that I never saw before. In the new gym, someday I hope to be the best one that knows how to work a hula hoop. I hope that on summer days we play outside and on winter days we go inside. |

This year when I walked into the new gym I felt excited to be playing indoor stuff, like volleyball, flag football, dodge ball, and some other stuff, too. I was so happy! In the new gym someday I hope to be a star baseball player. I would make the winning hit. The score would be 50 to nothing. I would be so excited. |

Gym is very different this year. We have lockers and combinations we have to remember. We even have uniforms to bring home to wash on Friday! It’s like we are in fifth grade! Now we have different activities every two weeks like soccer, volleyball, football and frisbee. It’s great to be back at the gym. |

The gym is great. It is the best place in the whole world. After gym I am always so hungry. |
Fundraising Update
To date, we have raised more than $4.9 million towards our goal of $6.7 million, thanks to generous support from members of the Academy community who are helping carry on a tradition of excellence that spans more than 134 years. The second and equally important portion of the Building on Tradition Campaign is the construction of our new gym and lobby. While we are eager to take that next step, we must raise the additional funds to break ground for the new facility. In an effort to reach this goal, we continue to seek the support of alumni, parents and friends who share your commitment to preserving and improving the school for its current and future students. |
