Is giving a girl flowers NOT an African-American tradition?

I asked a black girl to lunch at Red Lobster.
I showed up with twelve roses (not red).
She was overwhelmed and said several times that she felt really special.
Then, later, she said no one had ever given her flowers before.
Mary, I specifically stated they were NOT red.

Most of the times AA Men don’t bring flowers on dates especially the first one it’s usually reserved for dating.. but AA woman still like to receive them.. the AA men just don’t give and we don’t complain..

Next time bring chocolates she” really be happy..

    Uh….. Idk, I’ve never gotten flowers…. *tear*

    But I don’t think giving flowers is anyone’s tradition, its just a thing that some guys do as a sign of appreciation or love or something….
