Because most people favor European culture over African.

You might not like it but it is true, and a lot of African culture is still here in America, blacks are the main ones who practice it, that’s why you may not see it very often as not too many whites practice this.

I’m not an expert but a few examples I guess would just be.
Transmitted = is some areas of the USA blacks still practice voodoo which originated in Africa. Possibly the hip hop/rap music trend.
Also Kwanzaa has came over with them.

Not transmitted = I know the original African Languages have not been transmitted over.

Intellectual elitism based on Eurocentric ideals. In school, the only Black history that was taught to us was that of slavery and Martin Luther King Jr… I had to learn from my mother in 5th grade on who Malcolm X was. You rarely saw him in history books. However, people like Christopher Columbus, and Leif Ericson were shoved in our throats all day.

African culture has seeped through the mainstream though. You just have to be aware of it. Voodoo is probably considered to be one of the most mystic religions in the New World. Despite how people may think of it as witchcraft, it’s really ancestor worship. I don’t have to get inside of the popular culture in detail. American Contemporary music is generally African! Jazz, R-n-B, Rock-n-Roll, Hip-Hop, Gospel, even Bluegrass music have predominate African influences. Who do you think designed the "White House?" Research that…
