I don’t mean the Blacks who know their roots like actual africans, Dominicans, Jamaicans, some Cubans and, etc. I mean the Blacks who’s roots only trace back to being slaves. What roots do Blacks in this country have to be proud of. No one can honestly say they’re proud that their ancestors where enslaved and, denied of their real culture.

Hmm Let’s see here how about black people have created or inspired EVERY popular genre of music in this country. How about the many inventions by black Americans? Gas mask, refrigerator, traffic light, air conditioner, cell phone, etc. And the first person to successfully perform an open heart surgery was a black American. The first person to successfully perform a separation of two Siamese twins without one of the babies dying was a black American. Now run along troll.

We come from a long line of beautiful cultures. Many slaves carried over their traditions from Africa to America. Some are still prevalent in our culture. We have created also our own culture, hip hop (not the crappy stuff on B.E.T.) also we created rock n’ roll, blues, and jazz. Our food, our hairstyles and even our attitudes are our cultures. I mean what kind of question is that? We are all Americans though. And all Americans are part of that culture.

hmmm, well, im jamaican and im not fully black, so are you trying to say for people who are full black, cuz both my parents are jamaican, but my mom is mixed with chinese, scottish, black jamaican, and puerto rican
so you cant include jamaica as a firm root country because there is a lot of different people from different races, and even though the majority may be black, our quote is "out of many, one people" because of the indians, and chinese who came a couple centuries ago. and jamaica is also from differernt african countries because it is where the spanish, and british were taking the slaves but then just left them there, for a reason why im not too sure on

like you said. their roots come from caribbean cultures, and many more races and cultures. also their roots come from african culture too. yes their roots trace back to slavery, but not all of their ancestors were slaves you know. before the middle passage, their roots were still the same–caribbean and african + other races/cultures, but not enslaved peoples. they are proud of our caribbean, african, and other roots thank you very much.
plus it’s not african Americans fault that their ancestors were enslaved you know. it’s the people who enslaved them in the first place fault.
they do have a vast amount of culture to be proud of. just like any other race does.

i hate when people say Blacks have culture they have African culture NO, You can’t say blacks have culture from there old continent that’s made up of over 50 different countries without saying whites have a culture over in Europe. I know it’s hard for you to believe but whites from the "new world" were not the only slave traders.
