The dramatization of the epic contribution of Professor Chinua Achebe’s book, “Things Fall Apart”. The book, transcribed to more than 300 languages worldwide is renowned for its contribution towards the development of African History as till date, it remains a point of reference far beyond post secondary education in Africa and beyond. It is thought that the account, as portrayed in the book, depicts customs and tradition of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria, and drawn from events as they happened in Ogidi, the Home town of much admired CHINUALUMOGU ACHEBE.

Being an Ozo title …
Being an Ozo title holder myself, I know that the mark is made at the installation point when the Ufie music starts. The timing here is apt. I love the swaggering gaits of the titled men. I salute the obviously Yoruba actors doing this Igbo epic. That’s d smattering aspects (wrong accent to Igbo names). A good director shld hv avoided that. In all, they tried. My regards. Achebe is great!

You are weighing …
You are weighing the superior organization of an ancient community against a contemporary cultural starved context. What is demoscracy? Is there such a word in Igbo or its equivalnce? You will be surprised to learn that instead of being an ideology it was simply a way of life. And that, makes it richer.

The Igbos of today …
The Igbos of today have failed… Apparently ,
they do not show love to themselves… i feel astonished … i think its part of their tradition… just check out small villages warring amognst themselves . They are still not united.. thats the more reasons an igboman cant be president of Nigeria today .

There can be no …
There can be no dispute to the fact the the Igbos are the only known democracy where every family head is represented and allowed to vote/voice out their will. The winner might take it all, but unlike what is obtained today where few ‘election rigging’ criminals and crooks occupying the seat of governments from local government to the top.
Who said the Igbo people have nothing to offer the world?
God bless the Igbo nation..

Your contribution …
Your contribution is worthy to be researched on.
The Igbos are notably great migrants even up till today. There are credible indications that the kikuyu tribe of Kenya, the Acholi tribe of Uganda and a large tribe in Haite originate or have blood relationship with the Igbos.
Their cultural similarities appear to support the indication. Just wondering whether anyone out there would be interested in making a research based contribution.

Another people that …
Another people that have similar democratic system is the Ewe of Ghana. Thomas Jefferson, the father of American democracy with John Adams and others are astute men who read a lot and investigated government systems before adopting the democracy that spread around the world. They must have been aware of Igbo and Ewe system of government.
