Thomas Jefferson, the father of American democracy with John Adams and others are astute men who read a lot and investigated government systems before adopting the democracy that spread around the world. They  must have been aware of Igbo and Ewe system of government.</description>

The Igbos are notably great migrants even up till today. There are credible indications that the kikuyu tribe of Kenya, the Acholi tribe of Uganda and a large tribe in Haite originate or have blood relationship with the Igbos.
Their cultural similarities appear to support the indication. Just wondering whether anyone out there would be interested in making a research based contribution.
