Someone clearly didn’t pay attention in school.

Yes, it is Mexican tradition. They are not to allow their daughters have sleepovers until they reach the age of 16. It has been this way for centuries, and you ma’am sound quite ignorant.

Well I’m not Mexican but I highly doubt that its a tradition. I think that its probably an excuse of some sort, because her parents feel uncomfortable with her sleeping over and they don’t want to make you or your family uncomfortable either. Maybe it could be a family thing though, although I’d just talk to your friend about it.

tradition? no, religion..never. maybe its just that her parents are sorta old fashion where its not in their eyes for a young lady to spend the night at a friends house? another reason could be that her parents dont trust her, meaning, she might not be actually staying there but only using your house as a get a way to meet guys? now, are boys going to come over? visit? chat online? have your mom talk to her mom and see where that leads too, never know, maybe hearing it from an adult MIGHT change things.*by the way, im hispanic so theres no such thing as TRADITION* lol
