It has become a tradition of most people to oh, say, dress certain ways, or live in certain styles of homes, and that changes from area to area and era to era. I live in Southern California, and I wonder why some people build such steeply gabled homes. It almost never snows here, we don't need pointy rooves to keep the snow from becoming so heavy our roofs cave in.
