Don't you worship Mithras...

Oh thats right! You know him by his other name, Jesus.

A rose by any other name....

Bigotry will only get you sarcasm.
References :
I eat pork, bake on Sundays and have never made a sin offering at a temple. If I don't fear breaking the Law of Moses, why would I be afraid of gods I don't even believe in? Christ has freed us from such worries. If you don't believe me, just read the New Testament. God bless.
References :
You have it right. They are not harmless. Though few get physically hurt, the damage to our spirits goes much deeper.

"When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you."
Deuteronomy 18:9-13

If we imitate the things of the world and of pagan origin, how can we be set apart? We cannot serve two masters. We compromise our faith when we participate in things like these. Even if we are just dipping our toes in it we're still getting wet. And many who continue to do this get deeper and more involved, and compromise themselves more and more.
References :
it couldn't be harmless when God already told us to abstain from celebrating pagan traditions.
References :
If you can have nothing to do with the traditions of men, how can you ever do anything? It has become a tradition of most people to oh, say, dress certain ways, or live in certain styles of homes, and that changes from area to area and era to era. I live in Southern California, and I wonder why some people build such steeply gabled homes. It almost never snows here, we don't need pointy rooves to keep the snow from becoming so heavy our roofs cave in. I guess it's just their traditions.
References :
I agree. Halloween is to worship other gods. Some say that it's just a fun time and is harmless but, do you suppose God thinks the same thing? Do you suppose He minds if we worship other gods just this one night? And, do you suppose that the devil knows that you aren't really worshiping him tonight? Do you think that the devil knows the difference between real worship and fake worship?

Also, I do not celebrate Easter either, I celebrate reserrection Sunday. I do not celebrate the New Year Either. I do celbrate Christmas but I only decorate with Jesus or generic decorations. No Santa, no raindeer etc.
