    @vanight yeah the …
@vanight yeah the protestants lied to me, about my mother’s roman catholic church, so I left eugh.., a bunch of liars. I wish I hadn’t done that.

  2. Kale235 says:

    Greetings from the …
Greetings from the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church!!

  3. Kale235 says:

Can you give me a …
Can you give me a verse saying bible is only 66,71 or 81 books?

can you give me a verse saying bible is only 66,71 or 81?

  5. UShistoryX2 says:

    Honestly, Catholics …
Honestly, Catholics and Orthodox braying about who is following the correct “Holy Tradition” remind me of the Pharisees and Sadducees who used to debate the same exact matter.

  6. UShistoryX2 says:

    I think you’re …
I think you’re confusing Protestantism with Evangelicalism, they aren’t the same. And there are many different ideas about the “Holy Tradition” even among so-called “Orthodox Christians,” just ask the Russian Old Believers how much of the “Holy Tradition” has been changed, or compare the Miaphysite Churches to the rest of the “Orthodox” family. Christianity is about Jesus and His message of love and peace, not which hymns you sing or in what direction you pray, or what “holy days” are observed.

  7. vanight says:

    OP, I realize this …
OP, I realize this is a really old post, but the fact is… Protestants as I once was, are completely ignorant of Church history and early Christianity. They claim to believe in the Apostles creed, but reject other writings from the same Church fathers that wrote the creed. Its pick and choose, Religious Buffet if you will…..I am still a catechuman, just keep encouraging them to research History, Canonization, the 7 ecumenical counsels, The great Schizm so they understand we are not papists.

  8. vanight says:

    Dude, again, if the …
Dude, again, if the scripture is God breathed, would it seem logical that God would pick inspired Church fathers to decide which books were actually God Breathed and inspired as you say? That is a historical fact. Learn your Church history and stop watching TBN. Otherwise this is pointless.

  9. vanight says:

    thaArtiste, try and …
thaArtiste, try and follow this line of thought if you can….You put 100% trust in the Orthodox church that gave you canons..eg. “The Bible”, does it make sense to you that their commentaries and their ecumenical councils may have the same wisdom? Or would have rather trust in commentary by people who popped up in the last couple hundred years?

  10. UrantiaBookreader says:

    you want to talk …
you want to talk about non-biblical traditions??…ha!..let’s talk about the good ol’ protestants for a second…. Protestants have added a few novelties of their own: altar calls, hymns of dubious origin, grandiose musical concerts and solo performances (plus other forms of entertainment) even puppet shows have been known to find a place in worship services! And these are simply some of the more obvious violations of the scriptural law of worship.

  11. IAMJESUSmovie says:

    Jesus Christ has …
Jesus Christ has returned. I AM.

  12. dhood999 says:

    brother please step …
brother please step down from the pulpit humble yourself before God and his word otherwise you will rightfully endure the wages of those counted as the enemies of God…turning things sacred into a lie

  13. dhood999 says:

    You can make …
You can make foolish claims to reformed christianity but you’re completely ignorant of the substance within it…we live in an age of widespread liberalism…please don’t confuse that with orthodox reformed dogmatics…nothing other than faithful exposition of the bible. Regarding this video…if there ever was a false sheperd this is the most obvious…

  14. vanight says:

    One question that …
One question that led me to this point and bothered me: If Protestand believe that they interpret scripture by the Holy Spirit, and we believe the Holy Spirit to be perfect as part of the Trinity, how can so many Protestants have hundred of interpretation of scripture that are at odds with each other. How can you declare yourself a little mini-pope claiming the Holy Spirit told you, “Oh, thats what this means”, in a complete vacuum, and opposite of the protestant next door?

  15. vanight says:

    Until a Protestant …
Until a Protestant sees how the “mega” Church movement, the “doctine” and yes it is doctrine, of everyone being their own Popes for interpreting scripture, and the FACT that the Church actually did exist in the 1st Century and it didnt look anything like Rick Warrens church, and until they decide to study Church history and have the epiphany that Martin Luther isnt the Pope either and he didnt just fall out of the sky with the “Bible” in hand ready to start the reformation, its pointless.

  16. vanight says:

    As a new Greek …
As a new Greek Orthodox Catechuman, who was born and raised a protestant studied Reformed Theology and was a staunch Calvinist; dont bother arguing. Because for a Protestant, its all about them, and what THEY get out of Church, The Bible, the In Church Starbucks, the Christian rock band on stage that makes church, “cool” and seeker friendly.

  17. henbenhena says:

    2 Peter 1:20 – …
2 Peter 1:20 – knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.

  18. henbenhena says:

If you go by that.. …
If you go by that… than Jesus also said… luke 14:26 If any man comes to me, and has not hate for his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, and even for his life, he may not be my disciple.

His message was Spirit, and it was Truth… the language he spoke was only heard by those who heard him in spirit and in truth. Christ left a Church, this is his body. Yet satan has separated the church…Now some interpret the bible themselevs which was not chirts intention.

  19. DallasTheGreat28 says:

    Wow I cant believe …
Wow I cant believe youre saying this….

  20. DallasTheGreat28 says:

    Oral tradition? …
Oral tradition? Really? you are gonna go with that? Jesus spoke to man and they told others about Jesus then it was all documented in the Bible. thats it. What youre saying could be interpreted as someones beliefs or feelings or opinons being passed on. Be careful with the Word of God. Not something to be taken lightly or mocked.

Best thing we can do is READ the bible.!

  21. DallasTheGreat28 says:

    Most churches in …
Most churches in America are lukewarm and God will spew them out of His mouth!!

  22. DallasTheGreat28 says:

    What do you mean? …
What do you mean? Jesus’ words arent sufficient to follow? And no I dont call my biological father, father. But dont dodge the comment by changing the subject.

If I cant live on Jesus said this or Jesus said that then GOD KILL ME RIGHT NOW!

THE MESSAGE IS WHAT HE SAID TO US!

    Dont Be Decieved.

I am not a Protestant or any denomination.

I consider myself a Brother within the Body of Christ. Like the Bible teaches…

  23. henbenhena says:

so i guess you dont …
so i guess you dont call your biological father Father do you? The problem with protestants is theres no spirit or truth in your beliefs, its all “Jesus said this, Jesus said that”, without even caring about what Jesus message was behind the verse.. its all just “plain and simple”.. My friend, God is not plain and simple, there is wisdom behind every verse that could take a man his entire lifetime to understand even a little of it.

  24. DallasTheGreat28 says:

    Jesus said to call …
Jesus said to call NO man father other than God. . Or do you ignore that verse too?

  25. jesujoyofmansdesirin says:

    That’s all I as a …
That’s all I as a Christian wanted, whether speaking today as an EO Christian or yesterday as a Protestant.
