    I believe the people are warm because of the island is sub-tropical. The people of Hokkaido are some of the coldest people in Japan. :)

    Thank you for doing this documentary and sharing this wonderful island with the world! I was stationed there for 4 years and if I could, I would go back in a heartbeat! As soon as I started the video and heard the music, the memories started rushing back! I hope I can go back again someday but until then, I am glad I found your videos to share the experience with others.

    My father is American and my Mom Okinawan. I’m going to visit my relatives there for the 4th time (we are not wealthy by any means) in august for the Abon Festival

    My family truly enjoyed this video. It gives us a bit of my mothers heritage in which she still speaks to us about. Unfortanely she never had the opportunity to go back to Okinawa because of my american dad who was insecure. She still has family there in Moon beach.
